Service Costs- Hourly rates are not applied. Most repairs are usually repaired under our flat rate fee of $79.00. If there is a hardware issue, the total would be $79.00 plus the cost of the hardware. Sometimes with virus infections and other operating system errors, we are unable to reliably repair the operating system… In these cases an operating system reload may be the only available option. The cost for an operating system reload is $110.00, For an additional $15.00 you can have your personal data backed up before the reload (I.E: pictures, music, personal documents). A total reload with back-up will cost $125.00.

AC Repair- For the laptops that are unable to charge or run off ac power. An Ac repair is $149.00 (this fee includes parts). We must pull apart the whole notebook and re-soldered the ac jack back onto the mother board. (Almost always, the AC jack is replaced.) This repair has a lifetime warranty if we use one of our jacks, and warranty does not include physical damage.

On-site Services (AKA Service calls)- The initial charge for a house or business visit is $90.00. Every hour after that is an additional $90.00. Any hardware that your home or business receives will be added to your bill plus state tax. A house call is not limited in anyway, Bay Area Computers will do ANYTHING the end user asks, whether it be setting up networks or new office pc's, to solving those pesky print issues, or simply getting you and your computer online...

Other Repairs- The staff at BAC will attempt to repair anything from gaming systems to printers, small LCD TV's to ipods, and cameras. We have even repaired an elvis lamp! And if we can't repair it, you won't have to worry about paying any fees and our staff can help point you in the right direction.. However if it is repairable, this type of labor falls under the same fee used for computer repair, an almost always flat rate of $79.00. This fee is charged at the discretion of the staff and may be less do to the detail and complication of labor. Give us a call and we'll let you know if we can help you with your oddball home repairs!
